Welcome to the Killarney School of Music
Established by Padraig & Tadhg Buckley, the school has grown quickly and now has fourteen teachers and over 400 students. The school operates 6 days per week (Mon-Sat). This allows us offer a wide choice of instruments, class-times, class-size and also allows us integrate group playing as part of our courses. We cater for all age groups including adults.
Our greatest asset is our team of experienced and dedicated teachers. To ensure the highest quality of teaching, we keep our class sizes small, with a maximum of four students in all instrument classes.

Congratulations to both Cian O Sullivans
Congratulations to Cian O Sullivan (Killarney) and Cian O Sullivan (Fossa) who both won overall prizes in their instrument categories (whistle & fiddle) in the Millstreet Fleadh Ceol during weekend. Well done lads.
Triona's Dancers Strike Gold
Congratulations to Triona Mangan's dancers who took gold at the All-Ireland Scor competition last weekend. They danced an 8-hand jig to beat off stiff competition from Tyrone, Leitrim and Offaly. Well done.
Great Performance at Presidential Visit
Great performance by Roisin, Cian, Colm and Tim who played for Presidential Visit at the Town Hall during the weekend.
Louise Mulcahy Performs at Killarney School of Music
Louise Mulcahy who recently gave a workshop at the school, is one of Irelands top musicians. She was the first ever to win four All-Ireland Titles in one day (on Flute, Uilleann Pipes, Tin Whistle, and Slow Airs). She has made a couple of must-have albums with her family and has some more in the pipeline.
Masterclass Fiddle Workshop with Geraldine O Callaghan
Saturday 24th March
10am - 12.30pm Intermediate Level Workshop. Price €25
2pm-5pm Private Fiddle Clinics. 30 Minute: €25.
1 hour: €40
The purpose of the private clinics is to have one-to-one attention from the tutor to address specific aspects of the student's playing.

Killarney School of Music Welcomes New Concert Flute Teacher
Marina Blyth (BA Hons Performing Arts Music Degree) has joined our team of teachers at the school. Marina studied under Robert Winn - principal flautist of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Marina has 20 years of teaching experience. She also has extensive performance experience with groups such as Capercaille and Davey Spillane band.

All-Ireland Fleadh
Congratulations to all who participated in the recent All-Ireland Fleadh. Among the prize winners were Klara O Sullivan (1st in U18 Tin Whistle Slow Airs), Niamh Mc Sweeney Group (1st in U15 Trio), Colm Guilfoyle (2nd in Senior Whistle), Micheal O Se (1st in U15 Mouth Organ), Katie O Connor (3rd in U15 Sean Nos Dancing) and Triona Mangan's Set Dancers who won and were placed in several competitions.
